Club Pro Set Contest

Club Pro Set Contest

Updated On: January 20, 2015

Description:  Pro Set had a contest for students to design their own cards using an Illustrated Idiom.  This simply means to create a picture for a card that doesn't take the description literally.  The winning entry was a picture of a "strong man" holding up a bank! (No gun was needed!) The winners won 40 sets with binders and the Teacher was awarded a free trip.

Additional Information:  Below is a copy of a  Texas Senate Resolution created just for Clint Cox of Paradise, Texas to recognize him as the grand prize winner of the Club Pro Set Nation Wide contest.

Resolution by the Texas Senate congratulating a winner of the Club Pro Set contest.
Theory:  If you count the 1992 Club Pro Set sets, including their supplementary counterparts, you will come up with a Total of 40!  But, I have discussed the possibility that 'Reptiles' might not belong there (see 1992 Club Pro Set).  As of now, there is no way of knowing which were included as part of the grand prize.  Although, I like the fact that the numbers coincide with each other.  Maybe one day, a winner will come forward to confirm them.

Note:  A very belated congratulations to Clint Cox.  If you're reading this one day, please send me an email so I may pick your brains on Club Pro Set stuff!  TODO:  Find a picture of the bank robber "holding up" the bank and find and discuss the process of entry into the contest and rules, etc..
